Welcome to the Table
The Periodic Table is a chronicle of extraordinary individuals and ensembles engaged in exploratory work in the performing arts. It is an archive of work constructed and research conducted at NACL (North American Cultural Laboratory), a residency and performance center in the southwestern Catskill region of New York.
This site is member-supported and thrives on the active participation of performing arts professionals and enthusiasts in a vibrant community forum.
Calling all Venture Culturalists
We want you to be a part of what is taking shape here. You don’t have to be rich, you just need to be open to adventure and committed to supporting exploratory creative work. We're inviting artists and audiences to become contributing members — to share in underwriting the forays into creative deep space and to support this forum for relaying the findings — to enable the surprising new discoveries that make for engaging encounters in the crucible that is live performance.
We've been wanting to let you really see what goes on at NACL (especially those who can’t physically be present at events). We've wanted to find a way to advance our relationships with both our local and virtual community, to raise the stakes, to offer you more and ask more of you too.
And so, we present The Periodic Table. Originally conceived as a one page newsletter sent in the mail, it has evolved in this digital space to encompass a regularly updated journal that allows for member interaction.
A word about our Membership Tiers
You will notice, when you click 'subscribe,' that the benefits of each tier are all the same. We do not prioritize or reward more for larger support levels, but ask that each member determine what level of support is in line with their means. We certainly appreciate whatever you can afford to contribute, and we thank you for prioritizing your contributions to this community and this important work.
If you subscribe today, you'll get full access to the site, email newsletters about new content when it's available, and other benefits detailed below. Your subscription supports exploratory work in the performing arts, and allows The Periodic Table to continue to exist.
Thank you!
